Prompt of the day ·
Lines of light like a terrain, and your cursor makes ripples
Seventy glowing lines, violet at the back and orange-pink at the front, flow toward you like a landscape. Wherever the cursor goes, circular ripples spread out and lift them, like a stone dropped in water.
Make one index.html with three.js (import map, three@0.160 from unpkg). Full-screen, background #0b0610 with a soft magenta glow rising from the horizon. A field of 70 parallel ridge lines (120 points each, width 8, depth 14) seen from a low camera, filling the whole screen, fully in view on a phone. Each line is a thin glowing polyline (additive blending), colored from deep violet in the back to hot orange-pink in the front. Heights come from layered slow sine waves, so the terrain flows toward the camera. The cursor (or a finger) is a stone dropped in water: its position on the field emits circular ripples that spread and fade, lifting the lines. Nothing turns black, lines never get thinner than visible. Slow camera drift. 60 fps on a phone.753 characters · Made with three.js 0.160 (lines, additive) · worked first time · The post on X
What it’s for
- The cover of a music release or a DJ’s site: it looks like a sound wave.
- A hero for a night event, a festival or a club.
- A background for a tech or data product launch.
Variants to try
Add the line at the end of the prompt. We haven’t filmed these: try them yourself.
- Cold colours
Colored from deep blue #1b2cff in the back to cyan #4dd0e1 in the front, background #05070f. - Moves with the music
Add an audio element with my song.mp3; its volume (AnalyserNode) scales the height of the waves. - With a title
Over the field, a centered title "NIGHT DRIVE" in a wide white sans-serif, letter-spacing 0.3em.

- Where do I paste this prompt?
- Into any assistant that writes code: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable or Claude Code. Ask for a single index.html file, save it and open it in the browser. It uses three.js 0.160 (lines, additive).
- Can I use it on my website?
- Yes. The prompt is free and the code your assistant writes is yours. If you’d rather have the finished version, with your photos and words and ready to publish, there’s the related kit.
- Is the video what really comes out?
- Yes. It’s the page the prompt made, filmed without touching the code by hand, first time. Every assistant writes different code, so yours may vary a little.
